Doesn't Canada have caps on internet use? Do you ever go over? Yes, we have caps up here. No I never go over, because I have an unlimited plan--and I make good use of it Bell and Rogers are the two telecoms up here. Between the two of them, they own the internet infrastructure. However, they are forced to share the networks with third party isp's. That was the Federal government's way of protecting competition. Recently, Bell and Rogers tried to kill the third party isp's ability to offer limitless plans. That sparked a nationwide petition that captured over 500 000 signatures in about a month. The Feds took note of that and stopped the evil telecoms for now. So for the time being at least, I get to keep my $35.00 per month for unlimited internet plan.

So it's 25 bucks to have unlimited storage of illegally downloaded music? I know that there have been other services available, but to have out of the box configuration across devices is pretty sweet.

Notification system, finally coming to iPhone... that's huge.
OSX updates have me thinking of getting one of those track pad things that apple sells.

**Bump**
Sprint is finally offering the Iphone and I'm overdue for an upgrade. I'm leaning towards the new 4gs. Question is how much memory do I really need on this thing? I think the lowest amount of hte 4gs is 16gb. Do any of you have more? If so, why?
Final question - Iphone or Ipad? do any of you have a preference?

If you commute and you only want to pay for one data plan, then definitely the iPhone.
If you want a sofa companion, then get a iPad.
Either way, I think 32GB is the right size right now. With the app sizes growing and if you want to store some tunes.
Btw, I can't watch a show or movie At home now, without checking something on my iPhone or iPad. It's like I have a.d.d.
Anyone else?

I use both quite a bit. I bluetooth the phone to the ipad to share the data connection--no need to pay for two data plans. Though I've ordered the 64g 4s, I did so only because I've got enough loyalty points to pay for the thing, so it's in effect free. 32 would probably be more than enough, especially with the advent of more and more programs that stream content. I haven't yet had time to mess with iCloud, but if I can access (at minimum) 5 gigs wherever I am...that will probably answer my music wants. By the way, box.net is offering a free "lifetime" 50 gigs of cloud space. www.redflagdeals.com/deals/main.php/alldeals/comments/boxnet_free_50gb_lifetime_file_storage_account_for_ios5_users_until_decembe/

I tried Spotify's free trial and liked having so much music on the fly; but I'm limiting my internet subscriptions (It's amazing how many products you sign up for), so I let it expire without upgrading.
I have a 4 with 32GB of memory. I agree that it's a good size. The cloud services will open up your memory, but over time that will get used by your apps, especially games. I'm tempted to upgrade, but would not do so until after the holidays.
Is Siri as useful as the promos make it seem?
Jack: How do you like Sprint? I still have unlimited data through AT&T, so would need better phone service to switch (Which would not be hard to do).
One early negative: Drop in battery life.

I don't have any real issues with Sprint. I've been with them for so long that I've gotten pretty good at gaming them in order to keep my bill as low as possible, so I don't have much impetus to look around. With the glaring exception of my in-law's house in CT, I have always found their phone coverage to be very good. I'm also not paying anything extra for unlimited data right now, but that's going to change once I upgrade my phone (additional $10 per month).
One drawback is that their data connection speeds aren't good at times. However, my blackberry isn't 3G, so I'm not entirely sure if the problem is with Sprint or my phone. Another minor drawback is that up until now, none of their phones were GSM compatible, though since I'm not travelling internationally that much anymore it's not a big deal.

Is it only available in the 4S? Not part of the 4's updates?

Only on the 4S, at least for now.
In a typical move from Apple, Siri worked on the 3Gs when it was a third party app, but I guess they wanted something big to differentiate this phone.
I was using a 3G, so I wanted this upgrade to be able to use iOS 5, but if I'd had a 4, I would have waited for the next one, which will probably be a complete redesign and an LTE phone to be out next summer. Apparently it was the last project Jobs worked on.

Long term evolution. 4g and better wireless speeds.
