My new obsession is Google TV! Struggling to keep myself from buying one. I don't watch enough TV to justify it.

Yes; it renders perfectly fine, everything works. It's just that the App actually looks like it works better and smoother than the actual website on a real computer... LOL the Internet is truely changing to a App based environment. HTML just can't keep up with what people want to do. facebook app for iPhone is more productive and intuitive than their HTML site. good example is the number of TVs coming out with App software instead of including web browsers. I disagree with the Facebook App for the iPhone. It has many flaws, like it doesn't give you the option to edit or delete your posts. For someone as anally retentive as yours truly, I'm forced to go to the full version to correct my flawed spelling. Have you seen the new mobile site? I just noticed it this week. Works well. Almost no need for the app.

That's cool. How much does it go for?

It's basically the beginning of SmartTVs.
Logitech and Sony have boxes that you can add to your existing DVR and TV to make it a super smart TV.
Android Apps; streaming video and music from the internet, web browser.... etc.
Basically what iPhone and Android did for cell phones.

That's cool. How much does it go for? Logitech's is $299 with the keyboard and built in WiFi Or Sony's comes with blu-ray player for $399; with a smaller keybaord and also has WiFi With Logitech; you can use your phone to control everything.

So it's basically adding the net to your TV?

Yes, Internet on your TV; but more than just a browser.

Damn, Al, you really are Inspector Gadget Gadget Addict is more like it. My bank account takes a beating. It's pretty easy to keep up, I just read gizmodo on the train. For now google tv doesn't add anything more than I can do today, except for it being in a seamless pretty packaging.

So this morning I logged onto this site from my iPhone. The site says "do you want to download the iPhone App". I click OK; only to find out it's $2.99; Really? Now the debate is whether the app is worth 3 bucks to me. I'll wait a little while to make sure this really becomes our new home. If you get the Lite version (Free) you could still browse through the forums. But you won’t be able to: - Create and reply to topics
- Send PMs
- Attach images from your library or camera
- Click to view full size images in posts
