It's official.
Depending on who you believe, it's either for 30 million or 22 million plus Garay.

The amount released to the CMVM, or whatever they call it over there, is 30M. Garay was done separately - 5.5M for 50% of the pass.

That's a lot of coin for a team that already had Marcelo. I still think Coentrao's better but still.
I heard Mourinho wants to dump DiMaria(?) - anyone else hear that? Maicon to Real, as well? They must still be mad at Ramos for dropping the tophy under the bus.
This reminds me of the Sox-Yanks - Real has gone way beyond just building a competing team and is clearly trying to build a team to beat Barca.
Anyone have any scoop on Kistel - the new Belgian kid with the Sideshow Bob/Justin Guarini haircut that Benfica just landed?
How's everyone's summer, so far?
PS - Louisa Beiceb (French women's #14) is a doll.

Maybe he wants to install a system with two left wing backs flowing back and forth? Maicon to Real, as well? They must still be mad at Ramos for dropping the tophy under the bus. Ignoring a debate on where exactly Maicon's game is right now, Sergio Ramos is 100% overrated. He wastes so much physical ability. He's a huge liability in the Classicos. Benfica has signed so many players I've lost track. I saw FCP swooped in on Danilo.

Agree on Ramos' overatedness (is that a word?) - Real is becoming the Inter of Spain: one (if that) native in the starting 11 (hardly any of Italians at Inter, hardly any Spaniards at Real).

T Anyone have any scoop on Kistel - the new Belgian kid with the Sideshow Bob/Justin Guarini haircut that Benfica just landed? Great pick up. He's the replacement for Ramires that you never got last season. Very versatile midfielder. Also, look him up on youtube. About 2 years ago, he broke a guy's leg with a pretty nasty tackle.

I like what I saw of Witzel in the Toulouse game - Aimar beware. Nolito also looked really good on that left side. Need to see more of Enzel and Emerson, although with Capdevilla now we may not see much of him anytime soon.
Maxi is on the way back - he had a very good copa America. But he'll be exhausted, so RB will be Amorim, who is back from about 8 months of non-competitive stall. That worries me.

Any TV details for the 1st leg tomorrow? I read that Carlos Martins isn't on the UEFA roster. Is that because he's being dealt or is he hurt?
Can't wait to see how the new pieces gel together. I read that they put Luisao on the UEFA roster and that he'll play tomorrow. Probably pisses him off but that has to make him less attractive to PSG (?).
Back to Coentrao - did anyone see the Real-Galaxy game last week? I was (pleasantly) surprised at how much free rein they gave him in terms of his positioning. I thought it'd be a Marcelo-or-Coentrao deal, but Fabio was back/attack/left side/right side - even in the middle at times making runs. He definitely has the skills/versatility and I thought he looked great/dangerous - I was just surprised that Mourinho let him roam wherever he wanted this early in the season. Maybe Kaka is the Brazilian who should be looking over his shoulder instead of Marcelo (?).
